Preconception, Fertility & IVF Support

"Preconception care improves your chances of falling pregnant, having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby."

Did you know that by the time you are pregnant the DNA and the quality of your embryo has already been determined?

This is set by your genetics, lifestyle and health prior to conception.

The healthier you are, the healthier your eggs are.

It takes approximately 120 days for an egg to develop to maturity.

This means you should start preconception care a minimum of 3 months prior.

Fertility

We can optimise your ability to conceive naturally or work with your doctor to support your fertility treatment.

Through the use of acupuncture and herbal medicine we adapt treatments weekly to support the phases of your cycle.

We work with women and couples have not been successful in conceiving or who have received diagnosis' of:

  • PCOS
  • Endometriosis
  • Low egg reserve
  • Unexplained infertility
  • Male factor
  • Recurrent miscarriage
  • Irregular periods
  • Immunological Factors

Acupuncture

Acupuncture may benefit conception by:

  • Increasing blood flow to the ovaries and uterus aiding embryo implantation.

  • Balancing endocrine system and reproductive hormones, correcting hormonal imbalances that prevent conception.

  • Regulating the cycle and ovulation

  • Stress hormones negatively affect fertility hormones. Stress can prevent ovulation entirely and create spasms in both the fallopian tubes and the uterus, which can interfere with the implantation of a fertilised egg.

IVF Support

IVF can be a rollercoaster of a journey.

We are here to support you every step of the way. We work alongside your fertility specialist to ensure you receive integrative care.

"There is a measurable increase in pregnancy success rates when IVF is used in conjunction with acupuncture vs without"

  • Antral follicle count
  • Number of retrieved oocytes
  • Number of high quality embryo's
  • Fertilisation & Implantation rates
  • Ideally, we recommend commencing acupuncture three months prior to egg collection.
